Prosper
Major Suttill's French Resistance Network
Francis J SuttillPostscript summary
In 1942 a substantial resistance circuit was created in Occupied France by Major Francis Suttill (codenamed Prosper) but in mid-1943 it collapsed suddenly. Now Suttill’s son has combined Special Operations Executive files with the oral testimony of survivors to investigate the network’s activities and to uncover the truth behind persistent rumours that it was deliberately betrayed by the British.
