This volume, reflecting Dr Efimova’s personal view of the museum’s global mission and the range of artefacts within the collection, includes ritual objects and manuscripts from far-flung Jewish communities, past and present, and paintings, photographs and ephemera that represent the history of Californian congregations since the gold rush era.
