The Real Rock Follies

The Great Girl Band Rip-Off of 1976

New Paperback Illustrated

Postscript summary

When Thames Television broadcast Rock Follies – a drama about three girls forming a band – it was a hit with viewers in the 1970s, but the story had been pitched before the show was commissioned by a real group, Rock Bottom. In this memoir, band member Annabel Leventon recalls the group’s formation and early success, their discussions with television executives, and the subsequent High Court battle for recognition.
