Full publisher description
Artist Jonathan Wolstenholme paints exquisitely detailed still lifes of books in watercolour. Born in London and trained at Croydon Art College, he is fascinated by the world of antiquarian books and paraphernalia from a bygone age when craftsmanship was highly prized. He works in such detail that it is possible to read every word in the books that he paints. As an illustrator Jonathan worked for all the major magazines and newspapers using his own brand of quirky humour, as well as being commissioned to illustrate such works as The Diary of Samuel Pepys, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Grimm's Fairy Tales. This calendar showcases 12 of his enthralling and entertaining paintings that bring books to life. The datepad features previous and next months views in this art calendar. Printed on FSC-certified paper, with plastic-free packaging.
