After a childhood immersed in reading, a career in journalism piqued my interest and I began a degree in Politics and Society at Exeter University. Books soon lured me back though and I switched to English Literature, took a diploma in publishing at Oxford Brookes and moved to London, first to work as editorial assistant on the art and architecture list at Yale University Press, then as editor for politics (the irony) and history.
When Bloomsbury could no longer compete with family life I went freelance, working for academic and trade publishers, non-profits, marketing and social media clients. Now back in Devon I’m usually found hiking my way through John Hayward’s Dartmoor 365 when I’m not crafting words for Postscript.
