The 20th-century artist Eric Ravilious created many designs for the ceramics manufacturer Wedgwood between 1936 and 1940, and his work remains hugely popular. Reproductions of illustrations from his Garden series adorn the covers and endpapers of this handsome hardback journal, which features 200 lined pages, a handy pocket attached to the inside back cover and an elastic band to keep the notebook closed.
8 Notecards with Envelopes
In Ravilious's The Westbury Horse, 1939, a train is visible steaming through the valley below Westbury Hill; in Train Landscape we are inside the carriage and the white horse can be seen through a window. These notecards feature reproductions of both watercolours – four of each picture, with plain envelopes.
