‘The Golden Age of Murder’, the 1930s saw some of the greatest crime writing of the last century: along with figures such as Agatha Christie and Dorothy L Sayers, who remain popular today, were many brilliant writers who have been undeservedly neglected. From its archives, the British Library has resurrected whodunnits, locked-room mysteries and country house murders that illuminate their era as well as telling gripping tales of murder most foul.
