Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tales have been favourites of children since they first appeared between 1835 and 1872. In this 2005 edition, a selection of the tales are retold and illustrated in colourful paintings by children's author Val Biro. There are eight stories, including The Ugly Duckling, The Emperor's New Clothes, Thumbelina and The Wild Swans, in words and pictures for young readers. Age 4+
