Rosalind OrmistonPostscript summary
With over 150 reproductions, this volume explores the career of Alphonse Mucha (1860–1939), whose Art Nouveau style earned him commercial success. A broad overview of his life is followed by a more focused look at his development of Le Style Mucha in Paris during the fin-de-siècle, including his decorative panels and illustrations for books and magazines, as well as the Gismonda poster for actress Sarah Bernhardt that brought him fame.
