The Castles of Glamorgan
Sorry, this item is now out of stock.
Castle building in Glamorgan began with the arrival of the Normans in its fertile plains, when the castles built by the Welsh in the uplands were no match for the great fortresses of the invaders. The surviving remains range from small earthworks to the impressive Caerphilly, Britain's second-largest castle after Windsor. For each site this guide sets out what there is to see, with a brief history and access arrangements.
