The Complete Tao Te Ching with the Four Canons of the Yellow Emperor
Available in Stock
In 1973 a Han burial place yielded up manuscripts of Lao Tzu’s Tao Te Ching in versions much older than those previously known. They include a long-lost treatise, The Four Canons of the Yellow Emperor, which complements Lao Tzu’s philosophy with practical advice on the art of ruling, metaphysics, military matters and meditation. This annotated translation – the first to present both texts together – contains an introduction explaining their main themes.
