This is an excellent opportunity for a talented, creative and analytical person preferably with experience in mail order to be involved in all aspects of catalogue production and management, from preparation and layout to detailed sales and customer reporting. There is a constant production schedule and sales cycle that requires careful administration, and the company is engaged in a continuous process of development of systems, analysis and marketing. You will report directly to the Catalogue Manager.

Main tasks

Considerable involvement in the monthly catalogue production process including:
Liaising with publishers and suppliers and attending trade fairs
Merchandising new products
Responsibility for product placement and promotions
Catalogue page setting / proof checking
Liaising closely with the copy editor, designer and print house
Analysis and reporting on customer, stock and sales trends
Ensuring all schedules and deadlines are met
Liaising closely with Marketing for offline and online catalogue-related activities
Researching for new products and identifying sales opportunities

We require an energetic, well-organised, analytical and self-motivated person who possesses a strong creative flair and can cope with tight schedules, working in a busy office environment.

Whilst thorough training will be given for all tasks, an extensive working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel, is essential. Familiarity with InDesign would be advantageous.

The successful candidate will preferably have work experience in a catalogue environment or in selling off the page. A high degree of accuracy, analysis skills, excellent spelling and literacy, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are essential.
