Millport, the only town on the island of Great Cumbrae in the Clyde, became popular as a seaside holiday resort in the mid-19th century and its population doubled in the summer months. This collection of 200 archive photographs, taken from the collection of the Museum of the Cumbraes, provides a glimpse into all aspects of island life over the last 150 years - including the winter storms and people and places across Great and Wee Cumbrae.
