The German mystic Meister Eckhart (1260-1328) was tried as a heretic by the Pope, but his writings in both Latin and the vernacular were a strong influence on German idealism in the 19th century. This translation of a selection of Eckhart's works includes treatises, sermons and a number of shorter excerpts, with brief notes and an introduction to his life and work. Felt-tip mark on lower trimmed edge.
