Chris Rose captures light in a way that few artists achieve. His paintings are not simply depictions of wildlife, but a celebration of the colours, textures and patterns of the natural world. In this book he focuses on British birds, presenting around 60 paintings, often with their field sketches, and his own light-hearted and anecdotal commentary on the inspiration for each picture and the creative processes involved in painting it.
