With his advocacy of LSD and his advice to 'turn on, tune in, drop out', Timothy Leary was the guiding light of Sixties' counterculture. Written in India in 1965, his only book of meditative poetry was inspired by the Tao Te Ching (Way of Life) of Lao Tse, the ancient Chinese founder of Taoism, and forms a practical guide to psychedelic experiences. This edition contains six newly discovered meditations, and an introduction by Ralph Metzner, who accompanied Leary to India.
