Thomas Graham Jackson (1835-1924) is best remembered as the architect of Oxford's 'Bridge of Sighs' and the graceful style immortalized as 'Anglo-Jackson' by Betjeman. Much of his inspiration came from the European travels which he recorded in these Recollections. Edited by his grandson, with an introduction and gazetteer of the buildings by James Bettley and with Jackson's own drawings and watercolours, this new edition includes much previously unpublished material, including his priceless record of the historic buildings of Dalmatia.
